That's why when you lift weights or run everyday, you lose fat and gain muscle. It's the body's response to stimuli.

Similarly, certain exercises impact your body in such a way that the body is forced to exert pressure on the growth plates, and to release the growth hormone, HGH.

But Aren't Bones Immune to Growth After a Certain Age?

Wrong. Bones are way more difficult to mold and change as compared to muscle, but they aren't completely impervious to stimuli either. Have you ever seen a baseball pitcher's pitching arm? Its always an inch or so longer than the other, non pitching arm. Why do you think that happens?

Because of constant pressure exerted on the throwing arm.

Similarly, height increase surgery works on the principle that bones are living tissue, and thus, grow naturally in the right environment. In one particular surgery method, the bones in the shins and thighs are pulled apart slowly and gradually (by approximately 1mm per day). These 'micro-fractures' heal up over time adding to your height.

So the Holy Grail of Height Increase is Micro-Fractures?

Yes, and more. Micro fractures heal up over time to add to your height. Sprinting, especially with ankle weights, is a great way to induce micro-fractures in the bone that will eventually heal up to help you grow taller.

Certain other exercises target the softer bone tissue (the word 'bone' is used in the loosest of sense) called cartilage that exists between the discs that make up the spinal column. Properly stretching out these discs can add upto two inches to your height. Due to prolonged slouching and downward pressure, the spinal column tends to get compressed. With stretching, it is possible to straighten the spine out to add to your height.

Therefore, the best way to grow taller is to perform a variety of exercises. A lot of these exercises are included in the book 'Grow Taller 4 Idiots', which thousands of people in the world (including the author of this blog) have used to grow taller by upto 4 inches.

Click Here to Visit Grow Taller 4 Idiots Website.

First Words of Advice: What Works, and What Doesn't When it Comes to Growing Taller

Hi, and welcome to my blogger blog on 'Exercise to Increase Height'.

I'm a 22 year old student, and my name is George. Ever since I can remember, I have been the 'short' guy. I was a short when I was 8, short when I was 15, short when I was 20.

But at 22, I'll be damned if I will ever be called 'short' again.

Today, thanks to some disciplined effort and some sound advice, I stand at an average 5'9.5" - up two inches and a half inches from a short 5'7".

I never turn heads, or induce smirks when I walk into a room.

I no longer have girls turn me down because I just wasn't "tall enough" for them.

I no longer fear walking to my job interview to only have the interviewer stare down at me, supressing a giggle.

After 21 years of being short, I can tell you this much: this is a tall world we live in. Our society, no matter which country or city you live in, will always look up to the tall man, treat him with a different set of codes and ethics. Being born short puts you at a serious disadvantage in virtually every sphere of life.

You will never become a great athlete if you're short.

You will never get even decent looking girls to go out with you if you're short.

You will be passed over for a promotion if you're short.

But most importantly, if you are short, you know one thing: no matter WHAT you do, that sinking feeling of insecurity will ALWAYS accompany you everywhere you go. Even if you are the best at what you do, earn millions, or manage to go out with the hottest girls, your short stature will precede your reputation.

Look at the likes of Tom Cruise. Despite being one of the most successful film stars, EVERY newspaper story about him will put the moniker or epithet of "short" before him. There are more 'Tom Cruise Height' jokes on the internet than lawyer jokes. The comedian Dudley Moore, who was FAMOUSLY successful with women was perenially depressed because of his height.

Quite simply, your height (or the lack of it) will always put precede whatever success you might achieve.

In other words, you can never really escape you height.

Unless you decide to do something about it.

Like you, I was sick and tired of being called 'short', 'diminutive', 'tiny' and even 'fiesty', mostly with smirks and smug grins. I tried a lot of things: supplements, pills, dubious 'height increase devices'. Nothing worked. Nothing. In a span of three years from 18 to 21 when it dawned on me that I won't grow any taller, I must have spent over $2000 on every pill and supplement available on the internet.

But I was still the same, pathetic 5'7", still being called 'shorty', still being looked down upon by people who were in shape or form better than me.

As a last, final effort, I decided to try a new height increase program that someone mentioned to me: Grow Taller 4 Idiots. At this point, I had resigned, given up completely. I had entered a depressed state of mind because I was sick of people not respecting me because of my height. This was going to be my last effort at height increase - you can say the last breath of a drowning man.

I bought the book an year back. 28th of September, 2008, to be exact. I stuck to the program. Literally stuck to it like a military manual. I performed the exercises everyday without fail, followed the diet, completed each and every step outlined in the manuals. I was like: what do I really have to lose?

Imagine my surprise when a month later, I had actually grown by 0.5 inches. Not spectacular, not instant, but significant nonetheless.

That was the ray of hope I had been waiting for. If you aren't short you wouldn't understand it, but for a guy who's been plagued with the stigma of being not tall enough throughout his life, 0.5 inch can make a world of difference. Its like a drowning man stumbling upon a raft or a life jacket.

I continued the program with renewed intensity. I worked twice as hard. I corrected and perfected my diet even more. I even managed to squeeze in 8 hours of sleep into my regimen.

After two more months, the results were beyond my wildest imagination.

I had grown from 5'7" to 5'8.5" inches - an increase of 1.5 inches!

I was no longer in the 'short' category, and was seriosuly inching towards being called at least 'average' when it came to my height. You can't imagine the feeling: walking into a bar and NOT have everyone turn to look at you and smirk. I was walking on clouds, on cloud 9, on a glorious streak, or whatever clever thing you might call it. In essence, I was terribly happy, for the first time in YEARS.

I stuck to the program for 5 more months. The gains were, understandably, a lot lower this time. But in 5 months, I managed to gain another inch and move to a respectable 5'9.5" - just half an inch above average in my home city of Boston.

The essence of Grow Taller 4 Idiots, I believe, is the combination of a very unique exercise regimen that involves stretching, yoga, sports, regular exercise, and some specially designed height increase exercises along with a very specific diet program that were instrumental in my growth.

Here's a fact: exercise and diet work. Pills don't. Supplements don't. 'Ancient Oriental Medicines' don't.

If I could compress everything that I learned in the past four years and squeeze it into two sentences, I would say: Don't fall for any supplements, pills, or devices that promise to make you taller. Instead, opt for a completely natural height increase program like Grow Taller 4 Idiots if you REALLY serious about increasing your height.

Grow Taller 4 Idiots is the BEST program out there (that is why it is the largest selling) if you are interested in growing taller. Period. I have spent enough time and money on every height increase scheme to know otherwise.

And finally - and I can't stress this enough - FOLLOW the program to the letter. The thousands of people shouting 'scam' on the internet are the very same people who have never bothered to follow the program beyond a week. These are the very same people who complain about getting fat while they gorge on cheese laden pizzas and drink a gallon of soda each day.

Go ahead and buy Grow Taller 4 Idiots. It works.

You can take my word for it.
